Several key components comprise the FDIC’s IT security governance structure.

The organizational structure and reporting relationships for these components are:

  • The FDIC Chairman and Board of Directors head the FDIC’s governance structure.
  • The Chief Information Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, General Counsel, and the Office of Inspector General report directly to the Chairman and Board of Directors.
  • The Chief Information Security Officer reports directly to the Chief Information Officer.
  • The Director, Division of Finance reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
  • The directors of the Division of Supervision and Consumer Protection; Division of Information Technology, Division of Insurance and Research, Division of Resolutions and Receiverships, and the Division of Administration report directly to the Chief Operating Officer.
  • The Legal Division reports directly to the General Counsel.
