Figure 1: FDIC EEO Case Load and Complaints Filed

This figure depicts the data reported by FDIC, ODEO to the EEOC on the number of complaints filed and the FDIC caseload of open EEO complaints in years 1996 through 2004.

  • In 1996, 97 discrimination complaints were filed with ODEO and FDIC’s caseload of discrimination complaints was 228.
  • In 1997, 113 discrimination complaints were filed but no data was available for the discrimination complaint caseload.
  • In 1998, 102 discrimination complaints were filed with ODEO and the caseload of discrimination complaints was 190.
  • In 1999, the number of discrimination complaints filed decreased to 84 and the caseload of discrimination complaints increased slightly to 195.
  • In 2000, 89 discrimination complaints were filed and the discrimination complaints caseload rose to 216.
  • In 2001, discrimination complaints filed decreased to 39 and the discrimination complaints caseload decreased to 176.
  • In 2002, discrimination complaints filed decreased again, to 26 and the caseload of discrimination complaints decreased to 150.
  • In 2003, the number of discrimination cases filed increased slightly to 32 and the discrimination caseload continued to decrease to 99.
  • In 2004, discrimination complaints increase slightly to 35 and the discrimination complaints caseload continued to decrease to 79.
