The figure displays the timeline for the 2005 Corporate Planning Process. The figure includes seven boxes that represent significant activities/components of the process which are as follows:

  • DIR workload analysis (from February to early April)
  • Senior Management Meeting: Overview of the 2005 Process (July 8th)
  • Senior Management Meeting: 2005 Guidelines (July 21st)
  • Budget instructions (Budget Send) issued to divisions and offices (mid-August)
  • Divisions and offices’ submission of Budget Receive (mid-September)
  • Planning and Budget Conference (early October)
  • FDIC Board approval of the budget (early December)

As shown in the figure, the 2005 budget started in early July with the Senior Management Meeting: Overview of the 2005 Process and ended in early October with the Planning and Budget Conference.
