Figure 1: Decline in Capital Level -- by PCA Category

Figure 1 depicts the levels of decline, by PCA capital category, since the issuance of the banks’ supervisory corrective actions. The figure shows the following:

  • 5 of 18 banks (28 percent) met the PCA category of Adequately Capitalized,
  • 8 of 18 banks (44 percent) declined to the PCA category of Undercapitalized,
  • 4 of 18 banks (22 percent) declined to the PCA category of Significantly Undercapitalized, and
  • 1 of 18 banks (6 percent) declined to the PCA category of Critically Undercapitalized.
